ADVERBIAL CLAUSES
An other way of forming up complex sentences is by means of adverbial clauses.An adverb clause is a dependent clause and is used as an adverb.An adverb clause always introduce a subordinate clause. The adverbial clauses generally precede the subject of the sentence but may also be located in the middle of a clause it is related to. The best way to understand the nature of a clause is to take a look at what the clause is doing. The chief types of adverbial clause are those of manner,place,time,reason(cause),purpose, result,concession,comparison,condition and so on……..
1) Adverbs of manner in adverbial clauses
It shows how an action is done. The chief types of manner adverbs are as ,as if and as though
As: The evening was delightful as breakfast had been.
